President’s Lunch

Wednesday 9th October saw the arrival of our long awaited President’s Lunch. This time we were at The Woodlands Hotel in the New Forest. 80 members gathered for a glass of fizz and a good chat before lunch.

President, Marion Catt, who finishes in her role in November, greeted all the guests. Lunch was served in the dining room and conservatory. The noise level was extremely high as everyone caught up with old friends and made new ones.

After lunch the bottle raffle was held with poor Carole Norman racing round delivering prizes. Not everything was as it seemed and the bottles included, as well as the usual things, fabulous olive oil and various perfumes!

After lunch the members were treated to the premiere of Michael Bowyer’s new talk on the WAFA Event held in Oman. As always Michael held everyone spellbound and took us on a wonderful journey.

A wonderful day was had by all!
