Val Hockley and Yvonne Barnes won a Commended in Rejoice

The Wessex and Jersey Area competitors have done really well at The National Show at Gloucester Cathedral!

In the club class “Rejoice” Val Hockley and Yvonne Barnes, representing Fareham Flower Club, have won Commended at their very first visit to the Nationals.

Liz Farrington won Very Highly Commended in Celebrating Courage

Liz Farrington, from Wessex Free Spirits won a Very Highly Commended in the Pave Class “Celebrating Courage”.

As if this was not enough she also won a second Very Highly Commended in Quietude, the garland class.

Gill Pelton won a Second in Topazes and Cinnamon and Gold Moidores

Gill Pelton topped our awards by winning Second place in “Topazes and Cinnamon and Gold Moidores”.

Pip Bensley in Candles and Canticles did not win an award

Pip Bensley from Southampton Flower Club was unlucky in “Candles and Canticles”.

The Area was well represented at the preview with Joan Gittings, Carol Bailey, Mala Williams and Marion Catt spotted along with our exhibitors.
